8:30-9:30 a.m. Registration.

9:45 a.m. 1/2 mile fun run for pre-third graders (goody bag included)
10:00 a.m.5K run starts (which will look much like this).

Kids for Running coaches may participate for the same fee. We encourage parents to be spectators, not runners, unless there are special needs or concerns. The Fox Trot is designed for kids. Parents who run must register.

Course:
Flat and paved, out and back, starting and finishing at Voyageur Park. Runners will be supervised by volunteers at the turn around point (where water is provided) and at various points along the course. The only road crossing is supervised by a crossing guard, and trail monitors keep watch along the course and at the turn-around point.
The Fox Point boat launch area is near the 1/4 and 3/4 marks, and restroom facilities are located there.

Awards:
The top three boys and the top three girls in each grade level, 2nd*-6th, will win gold, silver, and bronze railroad spikes representing the history of the railroad used for 116 years before the development of the Fox River Trail. First place winners of the Fun Run (boys and girls 2nd grade and under) also win gold spikes.

*Note: due to demand, 2nd graders are now allowed to run the 5K. However, we recommend this only if runners are fit and able to do so without direct supervision.. Most second graders will enjoy the Fun Run more than the 5K..

Other Fun Stuff:
- Free root beer and hot dogs (AFTER the race, runners only). Thanks De Pere A&W!
- Each runner will receive a ribbon, cool Fox Trot tee shirt (if pre-registering), a goody bag with coupons for free treats,
and a water bottle with the Fox Trot logo.
- Some lucky runners will win special prizes in a drawing after the run. Gift certificates, gear, cool stuff!
- Music to pump you up!
